If You Grew Up In The South Or Are Simply A Western Music And Culture Devotee, A Country Marriage Ceremony May Be Appropriate For You

I recently went to a western marriage ceremony and I was amazed at the gorgeous spectacle. The groom and bride did a spectacular job choosing stylish country styles and decor for the special occasion. I thought that the entire thing would be a complete mess and that it would be far too casual for a true bridal event but I was terribly wrong.

The first hint that the couple was having a western wedding ceremony was obvious in the invitations. The pair chose an invitation style that used a rancher hat and a flower bouquet as the central focus. I knew then there would be country wedding songs at the wedding ceremony. The lovely icons were set atop of a bale of hay that was carefully placed to the left of the beautiful notes.

The pair opted to write their own personal note for the guests to read and they stuck with the western wedding ceremony motif by saying that they were "getting hitched" and providing the particulars about the occasion. This charming presentation was generally informal but the gorgeous design and elegant quality of the invites balanced the casual attitude of the note.

The maid of honor also embraced the theme by using fantastic little fun box pendant necklace and earring sets presented in a rancher hat. These were presented as country wedding songs played. Each box was styled as a hat that opens easily to reveal either a pendant or ear-rings for the guests at the wedding shower. The gifts were cost effective according to the maid-of-honor who was quite proud of her show-stopping choice of bridal shower favors. These keepsakes will be enjoyed for years to come and they're a great reminder of the western wedding ceremony.

Wine was presented to the groom and bride in an unusual way. There was a cow-boy wine-holder on the bridal table. The base of the wine-holder was a horse-shoe and tied to the base was a cowboy made out of horseshoes as well. His metal arms were out-stretched to hold four wine goblets (that were adorned with running horses) and his curved legs held the wine. There were country wedding songs playing when the wine was poured. This brilliant piece fit right in to the western marriage ceremony theme.

Maybe the most magnificent element in the country marriage ceremony was the bride's stunning gown. This dress had a small train and was enclosed in delicate lace and pearls. It was in no way a ballroom gown but it radiated beauty. The bride peered from beneath a tastefully-decorated cow-girl hat decorated with a light veil. She was the crowning touch to the western wedding ceremony.
