Are You Having A Rough Time Designing For A Baby Shower Party? It May Be Hard Locating Good Festive Decorations

My sister and I designed a baby shower party for one of our nieces. We decided to have it in the fellowship part of the community church due to the fact that it was a large guest list. We had the shower on a Saturday afternoon. We did not want to get too detailed with the baby shower decorations because we needed to have the complete area cleaned out instantaneously after the party. We did want to have just a few decorations for baby shower to give the room a festive feel. There is a bassinet that is passed to every new mother for the baby to sleep in for the first 4 to 6 weeks. This bassinet was my mother's. We determined that we would use the cradle as the middle of our baby shower decorations.

The fellowship area has big round tables that seat ten individuals. We moved one table off on its own to be the presents table. We covered this table with a smooth pink table cloth; our niece has learned she is having a girl. We set the bassinet in the middle of the table. We decided to use our presents for the baby shower decorations. I had purchased a pink and white infant blanket, which we hung over the side of the cradle. We pinned some rattles and other baby toys to the blanket with diaper pins. We then showed the little ensembles that my sister had purchased. We finished the baby shower party decorations for the gift table by putting a big stuffed bear into the cradle. It's so much fun to decorating for a baby shower!

For the food service table we had an array of freshly cut flowers from the local florist. She used silky pink carnations, baby's breathe and daisies for the display. We decided that no other baby shower festive decorations needed to be placed on this table. We did have pink napkins that we set on this table, along with a cake that was decorated with a stork holding a small doll in a pink frosting blanket.

We had also gotten a corsage for our niece and 1 for each of the new grandmas to be. We felt that the room looked very good and we would not have to spend a whole lot of time cleaning up baby shower party decorations due to the fact that they would all be sent home as presents to our niece.

We had a great turn out for the baby shower. My niece got several very nice gifts. She was glad that we had the baby shower in a space that was not cramped. As she progresses with the maternity she is feeling more claustrophobic. Within 30 minutes after the baby shower was over the fellowship area was cleaned and we were going home.
